Deacons

Curt Timm

Deacon Chairman

Curt came to Florida by way of Eglin AFB.  He met Vickie while stationed there and they were married in 1972.  Both hold BS degrees from the University of West Florida,  Vickie in '72 and Curt in '76.   They have lived in Pace since 1977. Vickie retired from the Fla Dept of HRS and Curt retired in 2015 from AT&T.  They have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren and have been members of Woodbine Baptist Church since 2006.  We have served in the choir, as SS teachers, Fellowship meals,  as a Deacon and as a Trustee.

One thing we've learned over the years is that our future is in GOD's hands..  " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11  We just need to be still and listen....

Bryan Taylor

Bryan and his wife, Tracey, met in nursing school and were married in 1997.  They have been residing in Pace for 23 years where they raised two children.  Both actively work in local community healthcare systems and serve the church body in various capacities. Bryan and his family joined the church in March of 2014.  He also teaches adult Connection classes, and signs in the choir.  The Taylor’s enjoy traveling, boating and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

“Woodbine is a special place to worship and serve our Lord.  We are all one big family that loves and takes care of each other.  David preaches sound biblical theology with down to earth practical messages.  He is a wonderful pastor of our flock.”  – Bryan Taylor

Joey McMath

Deacon

Joey & Misty have been at Woodbine Baptist since 2009 with their three children, Abby, Josiah & Jackson. Misty enjoys teaching and writing. They both love to sing, host gatherings in their home, and just “love on” friends and family.  Sharing watermelons from their summer garden has become a family tradition. Having served the Lord in many ways at Woodbine Baptist the heart of their calling is to equip & encourage others in their walk with Jesus.
Galatians 6:9 reminds us all to “…not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Whit Howard

Deacon

Whit and his wife Kay met while they were attending Baylor University. They
married in 1981 and raised three children. Whit served in the Navy for 30 years as

Church in 2001. He has served on the Youth Committee, taught Youth Sunday School, served on Church Council, serves on the usher team and currently is Chair of the Personnel Committee. Kay also served on the Youth Committee and taught Youth Sunday School. She worked as the church Financial Secretary from 2007 until she retired in 2021.

“And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears
the word and understands it” Matt 13:23. Woodbine has been the “good soil” for
my family and me.
